Preserve Indulgence specializes in small bites. Known for our pop-up supper clubs, we have also developed our specialty in catering for cocktail parties with hors-d'oeuvres, canapés and small bites. We offer full-service options with chefs and waitstaff on site or a delivery menu with no staff provided. Innovative, interactive and impeccable, our creative vision is detailed from aesthetics to your every bite. Your menu is always customized for your occasion and compliments your personality. We enjoy creating aptly personalized ambiances with our creative vision. From weddings to product launches and store openings, the holidays and real estate open houses have never been more superb.
DOES THE FOOD REQUIRE ANY COOKING?
Most foods are meticulously prepared to be ready-to-serve or require minimum assembly. For our delivery menu, the small bites will remain intact at delivery.
HOW MANY HORS-D’OEUVRES WILL I RECEIVE?
Each guest will be able to indulge in at least 2-3 pieces each, always with a few extras for seconds and thirds. This way, everyone can have a bite. We have options for a heavier preceding, you are welcome to request for an alternative arrangement.
WILL THERE BE LEFTOVERS?
From experience, there is always ample leftovers for another day. We are always happy to help pack up any food for you to snack on later. All cooked or uncooked items and proteins will be properly stored. There will be some items that would not be as pretty or tasty the next day, we will be forced to dispose of.
WHY IS IT NECESSARY FOR AN ON-SITE CHEF?
Our chefs are knowledgeable and capable of leading a large team. Their personality and experience are full of talent and passion. We trust our chefs from setting up to cooking and serving.
DO YOU OFFER COORDINATING SERVICES?
Yes! Preserve is considerate of your needs for a successful event. From weddings to your launch party, we are seamless in our planning to dot the i’s in the details. Mixologists are available to service, creating a special and unique interaction for you and your guests.
WHAT DOES AN EVENT MANAGER DO?
Staying organized and adaptable are key points to a fun and successful event. Our aim is to let you feel like a guest, you’ve hired us for a reason. Let us orchestra and organize the show, your job is to be the star. Our event manager is seasoned in making sure your event has a smooth run.
DO I NEED WAITERS?
For the delivery menu, there will be no waiters. Feel free to hire staff to pass the hors-d'oeuvre, it can give an extra touch for your event. The delivery menu food will be set as a glazing table for your guest, you may replenish as needed. If there are waiters or chef on duty, the platters will never be left empty.
HOW MANY STAFF MEMBERS DO I NEED?
To make the dream work, we believe that teamwork is a vital element to achieving more. We strongly suggest (1) waitstaff per every 15-20 guests. Set-up and coordination staff will be necessary for our Amethyst and Platinum menu.
HOW LONG IS AN EVENT?
Our dream team knows to stay until the event is properly wrapped up. Your estimation of service is an accurate reflection of your event. For example, if you paid for 8 hours of service and the place still needs to be mopped up. It is still a part of our job to make sure the place is the same as we started. The dream team is dedicated and committed to satisfaction, and not for an extra buck.
ARE RENTALS INCLUDED IN MY FEES?
Rentals are not included in your quote unless specified. Each event is unique and requires different rentals for execution. Your estimation will be included in your initial quote.
To make your events as perfect as ever, labour rates and hours are required to properly set up your event. Event coordination and event management is included. For the delivery menu, it is budget-friendly at $100 per event. The food will arrive an hour early before your party starts, our staff / Chef will make sure your event is effortless before departing. Increased delivery and set-up pricing applicable for large-scale events or more extensive hors d'oeuvres selection.
WHAT IS A SETUP FEE?
For cocktail parties and catering services, we are able to accommodate most allergies during our menu planning. Please let us know during our consultation so we can redesign something fitting for your request. For pop-up supper club, allergies are not accommodated
DOES THE FOOD ARRIVE ON PLATTERS? WHAT DO I HAVE TO PROVIDE?
We always deliver food as an art, the presentation is the most important. We will arrive with artful serving vessels (plates, bowls, platters). For the delivery menu, minimal food assembly is required, the food will be set-up on yourplatters before your party. No plates/platters provided. However, there will be a staff/Chef an hour prior to your party for set-up, to make sure everything looks perfect. For all other menus, food presentation will be styled accordingly. Each event is unique and no styling is the same. For example, a canapé may be decorated with a greenery and foliage look at one event, colour block themed at another.
The minimal for a delivery order is 5 hors-d'oeuvres. If you would like to add a savoury or sweet item, each additional selection is $5 / head*
WHAT IF I WOULD LIKE LESS FOOD? OR MORE? LEFTOVERS?
AFTER THE EVENT, WILL YOU NEED TO HIRE A CLEANING STAFF?
We aim to clean as we go. Your location will be returned as if we were never there. Additional cleaning options can be arranged for a deeper clean for post-event.
DO YOU DELIVER HORS-D’OEUVRES TO SMALL GROUPS?
The minimum for Amethyst and Delivery order is 20 people. The minimum for Platinum order is 10 people.
For our delivery menu, the maximum size is 100 people.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SIZE YOU DELIVER TO?
The maximum size is 300 people.
An 18% gratuity is applied to all bills. This helps encourage our team and Chefs for a quality-check mindset. You are welcome to place a higher gratuity amount if you are extra happy with our service but is never mandatory.
Any final total that amounts to $5000.00 or less will require a full deposit unless there are other arrangements. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required. Any surplus or balance will be settled during the last quarter before your event but will be required for the account (Usually 30 days before your event). We accept e-transfers, cheques and credit cards (credit card fee of 3% will be applied to payments less than $5000). Cheques are due 7 days prior to invoice due date.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Preserve Indulgence is a chef-driven restaurant offering a multi-course tasting menu. An event with Preserve is much like a mini restaurant with fine dining experience and a private dinner party. Like most dinner parties, the fun centers around the food. You'll be introduced into each taste by our host for your event. Preserve hosts at communal table where guests are encouraged for interaction.
WHO IS THE CHEF?
Cindy Fung is the Chef/owner of Preserve Indulgence. She has worked in corporate and fine dining kitchens of even Hong Kong’s most highly-regarded restaurant-Bo Innovation, MasterChef Alvin Leung (DemonChef). An event including Preserve features Chef Cindy’s amicable thrive and interpretation of hypermodern indulgences.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE FOOD RESTRICTIONS/ALLERGIES?
No Substitutions. Preserve does not accommodate soy/egg/dairy/sugar/red-meat/grain/gluten free, vegan, vegetarian or pescatarians food restrictions with our set items. The tasting menu may contain peanuts, tree nuts, soy, sesame, dairy/egg (and derivatives), sugar, wheat, whole grains and other glutens. It is not prepared in a fully kosher or allergy-controlled kitchen. The tasting menu may also feature red meat, pork, seafood (finfish, shellfish, mollusks), offal, fungi, any number of fruits (berries, stone fruit, etc) and vegetables.
WHAT’S WITH YOUR PRICING?
Our set menu is for a simple pricing. We have curated a humble ado to showcase our art interest and passion for food. An appropriate eight-teen percent service gratuity will be applied for service and labour costs. An invoice will be sent out promptly to confirm for your event, it is quite simple, we do not believe in uncertainty or surprises when it comes to your final total!
ARE RESERVATIONS REFUNDABLE?
All sales are final and non-refundable for any reason/excuse whatsoever. You may transfer part or all of your ticket to another person(s). Your ticket/reservation is only valid for the date and time purchased.
If you cannot make your reservation, you forfeit your reservation in part or whole. Just like a concert or a play, you can only attend at the time and date purchased. Please contact us as soon as possible if you have any concerns about committing to your reservation.

HOW MUCH WINE/BEER CAN I BRING?
We limit the number of bottles of wine to (1) 750ml bottle of wine or (1) 6-pack of beer per person (no hard liquor). Please do not bring more bottles of wine/beer than the number of members in your party. If you violate our policy you will be asked to leave without a refund.
WHICH WINES ARE RECOMMENDED?
For the current menu we recommend the following (we provide proper stemware for all styles):
For the first 4-5 courses, we recommend something seafood-friendly, but with a little character like a dry Riesling (e.g. Trius Riesling VQA, Inniskillin Dry Riesling VQA or even an Open Riesling-Gewurztraminer VQA). Champagne would also work if you don't care for white wine. Note, we do not recommend a heavily oaked Chardonnay or anything incredibly dry with high acidity.
We suggest something with a chocolate note and earthy for the heartier courses. Something like the Ridgepoint Wines Cabernet/Merlot 2011.
If you would like to do a separate pairing for dessert, our suggestion is a lightly sweet Sake such as Ty Ku Black Super Premium Junmai Ginjo Sake, great for a mixer.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
Casual dressy, comfortable but stylish. We love fashion! We would like our guests to dress to impress, especially if they are trying to mingle.
HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE?
On average you can expect to spend 2-3 hrs with us for supper.
